For Better Air-Fryer Results
- Keep food in one layer with room for air to circulate; shake or turn as directed.
- A light oil coating can help browning; use a suitable propellant-free spray. Most frozen convenience foods need no extra oil.
- Do not preheat with loose parchment that could lift into the heater. Follow the appliance’s liner and preheating directions.
- Check meat and poultry with a food thermometer; time alone does not establish doneness.
Your Conversion Questions
How do I convert an oven recipe to an air fryer?
Choose a named preset. COSORI UK suggests reducing a conventional oven setting by 20°C (36°F) and shortening time by 20–25%. Treat the result as a starting estimate and check before the range ends.
Why do Ninja and COSORI give different temperature reductions?
Their published guides differ. Ninja’s AF100 manual uses a 25°F reduction, while COSORI UK uses 20°C. This calculator keeps those instructions separate so you can choose the guide suited to your appliance.
Does the timer tell me when chicken is safe to eat?
Use a food thermometer to check that chicken reaches 165°F internally. Basket load, thickness and appliance differences can change the cooking time.
